I couldn’t think of any great additions to the human casting for PEEPs characters, so I’ve cast animals instead. This is a very silly blog post. It lacks logic and any attempt at true research. Enjoy! ~ The Red Pen.Read More
Hello everyone, Aaron The WebGuy here today to showcase some book series to binge read upon while waiting for Alexie Aaron's next book. The Beta Reader is a machine and he cranks out a book in under half a day a lot of the time, so naturally I am here to provide some links to some of his new reads. In fact, we did this before so here is the link the Binge Reading with the Beta Reader 1. Once again, The Beta Reader has the goods, and if you like Alexie Aaron's works he thinks some of these books might tickle your fancy. Most of these books leaning toward the supernatural and witchcraft or sorcery, although he seems to be dancing with the subject of angels and demons a lot lately as well. Links are a simple click away and I'll include the blurb from Amazon under each one. Without further ado here is The Beta Reader's new reads for those with a desire to sink their teeth into some new novels.Read More
Hey, gals and guys! So… we didn’t have any new updates to report this week, so instead of a meaningful blog post, the Red Pen is hoping to distract you with a collection of animal videos.Read More
Hello, everyone and anyone, Aaron the Webguy here with my own post of musings on a subject close to my heart - which I will get into later. I am filling in for Alexie who is currently wrestling with the tax demons and asking me questions like, “Did you spend X amount at the computer store and label it ‘WebGuy stuff?’” and “I don’t believe The Red Pen’s wardrobe is a business expense.”
Now for my favorite topic: which is me and my adventures.Read More

I was sitting down to write my annual Christmas letter when I heard a very audible sigh. I looked over, and there sat Stephen Murphy. Yes, really. I figured that he was there to offer me support on the endeavor, but as I started making notes, he bounced his axe on the basement floor. I warned him if he cracked the foundation of Bliss Cottage, he would have to fix it. He gave me a baleful look.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“I want to write my own Christmas letter.”
I stood up and vacated the chair. His brows knitted and a pout formed. I sat back down.
“How about you tell me what you want to write, and I’ll do the typing. Mind you, the editing is your affair.”
Warning, there may be spoilers if you haven’t read The Siege through Restitution yet. Here goes:Read More
Hi everyone, I'm the Beta Reader, and I am writing today about a subject very dear to me. Since I am eagerly awaiting the final draft of the new Haunted Series novel The Old House, I thought I could help pass the time by recommending some other novels I enjoy. I do have a passion for reading, and while I read most every genre of book, I decided to focus my attentions on subjects akin to Alexie Aaron's works. This brief list will focus on paranormal stories, written by female authors, that feature a strong female protagonist. I've read more than fifty books just in the past two months alone, so I picked a very specific topic in order to narrow the list down a bit. And so, here are some of my favorite recent reads with the themes of Witches, Sorcery, and Magic.
I'm including links to the authors' amazon pages, so you can look over their novels and the synopses for each. Under these links, I will tell you my brief thoughts about each one.Read More
Aaron the Webguy here to give some updates on all things Alexie Aaron. The reason for me talking instead of Alexie is that she is neck deep in the waters of writing currently. For those who haven't heard the news...
...has been released! This is Alexie's longest Haunted Series novel to date, and yet, she isn't resting on her laurels at all. What I mean to say is, she is nearing completion of the first draft of her next book, the 16th novel of the Haunted Series! "Holy smokes! How does she do it?" you might ask yourself. Well, first off, she loves writing these books and living in the world that she creates. Alexie wakes up around the time that roosters should be crowing to get a head start on her writing time. Many times I would wake up and find her already spouting, "3000 more words!" before disappearing back to her writer's corner to add to the count. We had a little podcast where she told us a little about her process, and here is the YouTube embed for those who want to hear from the woman herself (plus some other awesome guy who is far too humble to brag about his part in it.) > >
Secondly, she is able to write and complete the books so quickly because of the support she gets from the whole team. The Red Pen doubles her workload, being both the developmental editor and our artwork department. Personally, I think the Never Forget book cover was her best work to date. Without The Red Pen's talent we would all be looking at my MSPaint abominations. She is a busy woman, and she still got Alexie's latest to you all ahead of schedule.
The Red Pen isn't the only member of the team doing their very best to get the book out there. The Beta Reader got the book on a Saturday, I believe, and returned with his notes... that very same Saturday evening. The man reads faster than Superman. The Beta Reader dives in head first and makes it so that everyone gets to enjoy the books mere days after he is presented with them.
And finally and most importantly, she has the support of her readers. I know we have gushed on the subject of her readers before, but it is only because we can't believe how supportive you all are. Alexie often holds out her iPad and says to me, "Look what this person said on Facebook!" As her son, I am genuinely grateful to all of her readers because it is all of you that make it possible for her to do her dream job every day. All of us at Team Alexie couldn't do it without the support of all of you, so thanks again!
Enough mushy stuff already! Oh I guess I, Aaron the Webguy, do some stuff around here as well. Mainly fixing things I should have fixed ages ago, like making sure Sand Trap's Audiobook Link wasn't hidden in a blog post. I also appreciate that Alexie got me to work on original music for both Wages of Cin and Never Forget. Made me dust off my recording software and helped bring out my creative side again. Here are both of the songs again if anyone wants a listen:
We have branched out a lot from just a website where you can see Alexie Aaron's books. My question for all of you is, is there anything you would like to see more of on the site? More YouTube videos, songs, or podcasts perhaps? Let us know in the comments, and I hope you all are enjoying the new book and staying out of the summer heat.
P.S The book that started it all is on Amazon countdown this weekend and here is a picture link below.
